The President Is Selling Inside Information

President Donald Trump recently announced that he is selling early access to his Truth Social posts for $60,000 to $100,000. As president, his policies affect both the world’s political situation and financial markets, and early access to a forthcoming policy could result in large profits for subscribers.
The president of the United States is selling inside information!
This is illegal, as impeachable as it is criminal. You know it, I know it, your aunt in Reno knows it. But will anybody be holding Donald Trump accountable for this?
Of course not; don’t be silly. Congress has long enabled Trump’s witlessness, so they won’t, and Trump’s Justice Department certainly won’t, either. The media is taking a flier, too, because long ago Trump beat them into submission and now his blather and criminality have been normalized and legitimized. And if the media isn’t making a big deal out of it, you can bet voters won’t, either.
It is time for you and me – we the people of Colorado’s 2nd District – to make a big deal out of it because we deserve better than this. We deserve a president that does not sell inside information, and we deserve better than the Republicans who are enabling it and the Democrats who are standing by and watching it. It is time for us to tell our state and our country that we are demanding better this Election Day.
Friends, it is time for us to dismiss the status quo. It is time for common sense in these uncommon times.
