It’s Genocide In Gaza Now
War is one thing. Genocide is another.
When Hamas invaded Israel last October, it started a war. Israel had every right to defend itself, and Hamas had every reason to expect a violent response.
But this is no longer a war. The purpose of war is to establish sufficient military and tactical superiority to defeat your enemy, and Israel did that long ago. In fact, we’re not even sure what Hamas was thinking when they invaded because it is hardly a surprise that Israel is naming the score.
All Israel is doing now is slaughtering civilians. They are bombing schools and hospitals, and this is no longer a war; it is a genocide. A genocide America continues to support with military aid to Israel.
Everyone deserves better than this. Both sides deserve an end to this war and we Americans deserve a government that is not supporting either side. You and me – we the people – are not going to get better government, however, until we start demanding it on Election Day.
